As you may recall, we all knew this would be a difficult budget because tax revenues are declining in Ohio as the economy has slowed down. As a result, NAMI Ohio asked specifically for only two things in this state budget from the Ohio General Assembly:
Maintain the Medicaid Expansion; and
increase slots in the Residential State Supplement (RSS) program to help people with the most severe mental illness get a housing voucher.
As the Ohio Senate reaches the end of their state budget process, NAMI Ohio NEEDS YOUR HELP to accomplish our 2 budget goals. WE NEED YOU TO CALL YOUR STATE SENATOR TODAY OR TOMORROW! *If you can’t call by Friday, just leave a message on their machine this weekend!* Find details HERE on what to say and how to identify your Senator.
